The fact of the matter is that we can save money and still give much better Christmas presents if we just make a little effort. You can easily make a selection of homemade Christmas presents without breaking your bank and the recipients will love the presents because you took the time and effort to make the gifts. These gifts are invariably treasured for years to come.
Here are some homemade Christmas gift ideas that can be made without too much problem.
Personalized Recipe Book -- If one of your friends or relatives is a vegetarian or love to cook, make a personalized recipe book. Start collecting recipes from books and magazines. Then purchase a small inexpensive book to write all the recipes that the recipient would love. Make sure you write them in your neatest handwriting or you can use calligraphy if you have the talent for it. You can also include illustrations if you are artistically inclined.
Homemade Stationary -- All you need for this is ordinary envelopes and some cheap newsprint. Go through all the magazines you have at home and cut out decorative pictures and illustrations. Now stick these to the front of the envelopes either down the left side or across the top. If possible try sticking matching borders and motifs.
Chocolate Spoons -- Buy a pack of plastic picnic spoons. Now melt some chocolate with a dab of butter in a dish. When the chocolate melts, dip the spoons into it and place them on a greaseproof paper to dry. Once the spoons are dry, wrap each spoon in cellophane and tie a dainty bow with a colorful ribbon. You can flavors like liqueurs, mint or coffee to the melted chocolate to enhance the taste and aroma.
